Yolanda Gales
Owner & Master Stylist


Yolanda Giselle Gales is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and moved to Shreveport after hurricane Katrina in 2005. In 2009, Yolanda opened the renowned Benoté Salon. With a list of over 400 customers (guests), Yolanda expanded her niche and has become one of the top names in natural hair in Louisiana. She is also well known for her hair coloring techniques. Guests come from all over the country to experience the Benoté Salon difference.

Yolanda, who studied chemistry in college, spends countless hours researching new and innovative products to ensure the safe and effective use for her guests. Clients depend on Yolanda’s knowledge and attention to detail and appreciate her detailed oriented approach to hair care. Although she is a graduate of the esteemed Aveda Beauty Institute, Yolanda attributes her natural talent for hair from years of guidance by her grandmother, Ozell Johnson, and mother, Lorraine Johnson who are both long time stylists in the New Orleans area.

The guests of Benoté Salon not only enjoy the warm, comfortable, and luxurious décor, but more importantly, they appreciate the friendly and relaxing atmosphere that Yolanda has created where people have an opportunity to engage and collaborate with other professional women in the area.




Bernisha Dupree
Level 1 Stylist


Bernisha Dupree is a native of Los Angeles, California, and relocated to Shreveport Louisiana back in 2004 with her family. Bernisha attended Regency Beauty Institute, where she graduated and is now a Professional Stylist. Not only does she have a huge passion for hair, she is also fantastic with makeup application and eyelashes. With that sort of talent, Bernisha always keeps clients coming back while building a more diverse clientele.

Bernisha Specializes in braiding but also posses a unique talent in styling natural hair, as well as color formulations, foil placements, and cutting. She is continuously striving to learn, setting aside classroom time to advance in cutting, coloring, and styling to keep up to date with all the latest trends. As a client in Bernisha’s chair, you will always receive a thorough and in-depth consultation. During which she will work to get your hair back to its healthy state. Creating an individual style for you!

Bernisha also studied Nursing while attending college at Grambling University. She has applied the education she accrued in nursing to hair styling and has become adept to nursing even the most coarse hair back to its natural elegance.






Victoria Tillis


Victoria Ashley Tillis is a Shreveport, LA native with the passion and natural talent for beautiful hair and makeup. August 2012, Victoria graduated from Regency Beauty Institute with a solid clientele anticipating her greatness in a salon. After graduation, her career started to greatly unfold. Allowed the opportunity to travel doing hair and makeup for an upcoming model with Stage Works Productions, Victoria has begun setting her name in this industry.

Working alongside Yolanda, Victoria uses her unique style and modern techniques to keep hair healthy, luxurious, and stylish. She spends her free time exploring and understanding the top quality hair and safest weaving techniques, best hair products, and styles that will keep natural and relaxed hair at its best.

The newest member of the Benote’ Salon family focuses on sophisticated hair, bonded and sewn hair extensions, eyelash applications, facial waxing and glamorous makeup. The guests of Benote’ Salon embraces Victoria’s edgy personality and her desire to build relationships and make everyone feel and look stunning. She wins her clients over with her genuine personality, her product knowledge, and her knowledge of hair and the trends of today.
